Who we are
My Chore Genie is a trading name of [legal name of the business or sole trader], [registered or trading address]. We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the data controller. Contact us at hello@mychoregenie.com.
What we collect
- When you sign up: your name, email, postcode, what you own and the plan you're interested in.
- If you pay a deposit: your address, phone number (if you give it) and details about your property, boat, vehicle or premises. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your card details.
- Which page or advert you came from, so we know which of our adverts work.
Why we use it
- To plan your service, check we cover your area and contact you about your founding place. We do this because you've asked us to, before entering a contract.
- To send launch news and offers, only if you ticked the box. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand which adverts bring people to us, only if you accept cookies.
Who we share it with
Our website host (IONOS, which stores the sign-up records on its UK and EU servers), our payment provider (Stripe) and, once you're a customer, the vetted tradespeople who carry out your visits. Where a provider stores data outside the UK, we rely on approved safeguards. We never sell your details.
How long we keep it
If you don't become a customer, we delete your sign-up details within 12 months. Customer records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@mychoregenie.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
The site works without cookies. With your permission, we use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to measure our adverts. They're off until you click Accept, and you can change your mind using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page.
